Coutinho to refuse to play for Liverpool
Barcelona are growing increasingly confident of landing Philippe Coutinho in January, as Sport claim the Brazilian will refuse to play for Liverpool again.
There is a growing feeling from the Spanish outfit that a bid over £130 million will get the deal done, with Coutinho having pulled out of the Reds' match against Burnley on New Year’s Day. The Spanish newspaper claims Coutinho does not want to risk suffering an injury before making his move and has no intention of featuring in their FA Cup game against Everton.
Liverpool eye Ceballos as Coutinho replacement
Liverpool have identified Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos as the man they want to replace Philippe Coutinho, according to Diario Gol.
Ceballos is apparently fed up of waiting for a chance to prove himself under Zinedine Zidane and has communicated his desire to leave, through his agent, to president Florentino Perez.
And the Reds are keen to make their move, seeing him as the ideal replacement for Coutinho, who is closing in on a switch to Liga leaders Barcelona.
Umtiti wants time to decide on City move
