The former WWE star sympathised with Davina as he drew on his own experience - he had split from his first wife Dany Garcia, whom he shares a 16-year-old daughter with, in 2007.
Speaking to the paper, Dwayne said: 'She is going through a difficult time at the moment, so my advice to her is to just keep on going.
'I’ve been there, I have been in a dark place, and if there’s one thing she needs it is to talk things out, because nobody should be suffering in silence.'
Davina had previously expressed her desire to 'marry' The Rock while claiming he is 'like the nicest guy', and her compliments haven't gone unnoticed, as Dwayne claimed it was 'amazing' to receive such kind words from the mother-of-three.

On Christmas Day, Davina recorded a video message for her fans to wish them seasons greetings - but also to reassure those 'feeling a bit lonely', and the presenter reportedly spent the holiday with Matthew, 48, as the amicable exes wanted to ensure their children's happiness remained their top priority.
Sources have claimed that the pair secretly split four months ago but continued to live together for the sake of their kids. An insider told The Sun: 'Watching the way they interact, you would never know that they had split, as they are still extremely good friends.
'Their well-being has always been their primary concern so, while of course the split has been painful for them both, there was still lots of laughter and happiness on the day.'
The source added: 'When they finally made the painful decision to separate it was a very slow process as neither of them wanted it to have a negative impact on the children.' MailOnline contacted Davina's representatives for comment at the time.
